COVID-19 – Update
Dear Patient:
Your safety and well-being are of the utmost importance to us at Eastern Shore Endodontics, P.C. As our country and world continue to deal with the effects of COVID-19, we write to inform you about the American Association of Endodontist’s (AAE) and the American Dental Association’s (ADA) newest guidelines and recommendations for seeking dental care.
The AAE has recommended limiting non-urgent dental treatment, and we intend to do so while remaining open and available to any patients who seek urgent or emergency care. This will help alleviate the unnecessary burden that dental emergencies place on hospital emergency departments. If you or your patients are in pain or need care immediately, please call (251) 626-8480 or manascoendo@gmail.com.
In addition to following the guidance from the CDC, we have updated our sanitation policies to prevent the spread of the virus. In addition to the standard disinfection of our operatories, we are now disinfecting our office’s common areas, including the patient waiting room and check-in desks. Furthermore, we are limiting interpersonal interactions (social distancing) and requesting that extra people do not accompany you in the waiting room. We are also providing pre-operative mouth rinse with enhanced vigilance. For scheduled patients that are feeling ill, have been in contact with someone who is displaying symptoms or that have tested positive for the virus, their appointment will be rescheduled 14 days later.
We are here to support you and will play our part to fight the spread of coronavirus. During this time, we will only schedule patients who are in need of urgent or emergency dental care. If you are unsure of whether your dental need is urgent or would like more support or clarification, please feel free to call or email the office.
We appreciate your patience and understanding during this time. Please stay safe, healthy and take steps to exercise extreme caution.
Sincerely,
Tres H. Manasco, D.M.D.
